Fair Pay and Respect Now for Fonterra Dairy Workers

These workers who are predominantly women, are paid $5 less an hour than workers at Fonterra’s other worksites.

Fonterra Bayswater workers are striking for fair wages and respect. Sign the petition to tell Mainland Group CEO Rene Dedoncker it’s time for equality.

Behind the Cheese is Inequality

TO: RENE DEDONCKER, MAINLAND GROUP CEO
FAIR PAY AND RESPECT NOW for Fonterra Dairy Workers!

Sign our petition calling on the Mainland Group CEO to pay and respect these women dairy workers with a fair deal!

The cheese snacks in your kid’s lunchbox don’t just appear. They’re made by Fonterra workers in Victoria, the people behind Western Star butter, Perfect Italiano, and Mainland cheese & cracker packs nationwide.

But behind these products is a glaring inequality.

These workers, mostly women, are being paid $5 less an hour than Fonterra workers at other sites and are denied fair redundancy rights during a potential acquisition.

Why is this important?

Fonterra is a $4 billion company. If they can afford to pay more at Cobden, Darnum, and Stanhope, they can afford to do the right thing at Bayswater.

This fight isn’t just about cheese – it’s about respect and fairness for the workers who make the food our families eat every day.

These workers have families too.

Tell the CEO to pay Fonterra workers a fair wage that keeps up with the cost of living!
